For all those who believe in God, every human endeavour or effort has a divine basis, because those who believe in God, are gods in the service of this God who is above all gods. Image:pixabay/jplenio/

Meditation/This is God's answer to the questions of a divine creation who, for one reason or another, and depending on the circumstances of a life characterized by moments of joy and sorrow, which are in fact all moments of joy for those who have hope, is very often tempted to say that, she has received nothing from God.

But we are talking of which God, and on what basis are we saying that such an answer comes from Him? Indeed, we are among those who, like many others, believe in a God who made every things. That is why, even though our meditations are established on a Christian basis, we believe, and we are even firmly convinced that, Christianity as a religion with multiple specificities, is one of the many ways to access salvation which for Christians, is a state of grace which, through faith, allows us to experiment daily, the love of a God who always gives to those who believe in Him in particular, reasons to praise and worship Him, not only for His immense glory, but above all, for all the blessings He constantly bestows or gives to those who believe in Him.

And even if there are those who do not believe in God, the message of faith, as understood by Christians and members of all other religious denominations, always possesses a universal character that concretely reflects the fact that, the God in whom we believe is above everything’s, knows everything’s, understands everything’s, and can do everything’s.

We are therefore talking of a God we know in a general context, but especially in a particular context which have the vocation to be universal. We are speaking of a God who became flesh, and who made His dwelling or house among us, as the first chapter of the Gospel of Saint John tells us. In other words, we are speaking of The One who, from the height or the pinnacle of his Eternal Throne, made the humble choice to embrace the human condition, to save humanity, or for the salvation of the world. It is about this God we are speaking of. The One who can do everything’s, and who knows everything’s. This God who allow us to better know Him, through each of the situations of our existence, because HE IS a God of every moment. A God who is always ready to give to those who put their trust Him, reasons not only to be satisfied despite everything, but to also remain in permanent joy and thanksgiving. We are talking of that God who can do everything’s, and who, through this meditation, asks to Mens what He has not given to them? It is a way of telling to every people, and those who believe in His Son Jesus Christ in particular, to always remember what He has done for them in the past, because the source of all their present and future joys is found there.

This meditation is therefore an invitation to praise and worship Him in all circumstances of life, because HE IS THE ONE who gives everything freely to those who wish to give a new orientation to their lives, and freely choose to place their trust in Him. Indeed, beyond the fact of being a question, this initial demand that He addresses to Mens through this meditation, is an invitation to remain in a state of gratitude despite everything, because if most of the times, some people believe that God has nothing given to them, God believes that He has given everything to humankind. What does Psalm 8 say? What does the psalmist say? What does David say? What does God say, particularly from the 4 to the 9th verse?

What is mankind that you are mindful of them, human beings that you care for them? You have made them a little lower than the angels and crowned them with glory and honour. You made them rulers over the works of your hands; you put everything under their feet: all flocks and herbs, and the animals of the wild, the birds in the sky, and the fish in the sea, all that swim the paths of the seas. LORD, our Lord, how majestic is your name in all the earth! New International Version (NIV)

Through these words of the Psalmist, who had a very special relationship with God, we have tangible proof of the fact that God has given everything to humankind. And these words, which are in fact acts of faith, are not the result of some actions that remain in the abstract level. God has given everything to humankind, and this is an observable fact not only through the blessings of a constantly renewing nature, but also through a mental, physical, and psychological health which allows us to do everything, under His gaze. Indeed, if God created everything, it is because He wants Mens to continue this work of creation, thanks to the many talents He has given to them. That is why, for all those who believe in God, every human endeavour or effort has a divine basis, because those who believe in God, are gods in the service of this God who is above all gods. Humankind have then reasons to praise and worship God despite everything. And if praising and worshipping God is something that comes automatically when one has joy in one's heart, it must be said that, it is also possible when we pass-through difficult times, because we firmly believe that, every moment is opportune for prayer that comes from a sincere heart. And even when we present our difficult situations to God through prayers of lamentation and supplication, God Himself subsequently inspires us, prayers of thanksgiving, because He is the foundation of our faith, our hope, and our charity.

They proclaimed God's salvation through Jesus Christ in their time, so that each generation of Christians might do the same in the present and the coming age, because God is not only God in the past. He is a God of every moment or every times. Image: pixabay/Monikap/Juillet 2016

Let us take as example what the twelve apostles endured. Between pain and suffering following the crucifixion, there were prayers, fear, and also despair. But what happened after Christ's resurrection? What happened after his Ascension, and especially after the descent upon them of the Paraclete, or the new protector He promised them? They freely and proudly assumed the responsibility of being the founders of the first Christian communities. They proclaimed God's salvation through Jesus Christ in their time, so that each generation of Christians might do the same in the present and the coming age, because God is not only God in the past. He is a God of every moment or every times. He is a God for whom all things are possible for those who believe. He is a God whose love is constantly renewed, so that many people as possible, may experiment the wonders of His love, and bear fruit that corresponds to the quality of the love they received. This love is a constant invitation to praise and worship, because these are acts of faith that please God, especially when they come from a sincere heart. And if humankind asks questions to God, why shouldn't He do the same? Communication without a partner is futile. It is through exchanges between the various stakeholders that solutions can be found. Which kind of good development project does not take in consideration the point of view of the main person concerned? Is humankind so powerful that she can do everything without God? So powerful to the point of acting as she want, with utter disregard for the lamentable situation of the most vulnerable? No! Even if humankind is make up of a set of gods by the grace of God, no one is above The One who always has the final say or the last word. Whatever humans do to disrupt or disturb the daily lives of their fellow human beings, God's justice will always prevail in favour of those He loves, no matter how long it takes. And these words of encouragement, which are divinely inspired, are an invitation to trust in God, and in Christ in particular, with this precision that, the word of God is not the exclusive property of a Holy Book, nor of a set of holy books, or of a particular religion. The word of God is inscribed in the heart of all those who believe in God. We can see and hear it through the way of life of some people, in our natural environment, and among others things, the collection of human works of divine origin. In our natural environment particularly because, even before the complaint of some people against a particular situation which afflict them, Nature is always the first to ask account to Mens for their actions. We cannot therefore, allow ourselves to do just anything in society or in our living environments. And even if some people are fighting against injustice, it is because nature have already demanded it. What have you done with what I gave you? What have you done with the responsibility I assigned you? What have you done with the talents I gave you? Why do you act like this in a common house? Why do you degrade your environment? Why do you condone injustice? Why do you continue to harming others? These are questions that God asks to humankind.  Questions that are in fact, invitations for repentance through sincere prayers of supplication, which will necessarily lead to prayers of thanksgiving.

Human beings are thus called every days to become more familiar with the Word of God or to be permanent seekers of a God who is never fully found. Hence the need to take advantage of the renewal of the breath of life every days, to know Him better, through our own life experiences and that of others people. And we must seek God's face every day, not only to know Him, but to know Him better, and to make Him known. When we talk for example of the protection of the environment, it’s because it is God's property. When we denounce injustice, it is a way of demanding justice for the oppressed. When we rebel against falsehood and the use of falsehood, it is a way of saying that if God is truth, all wealth based on lies are deceptions. When we encourage people to read and put into practice the word of God, it is because these words of the Holy Scriptures, are able to save our souls as the apostle Saint James tells us in the 21st verse of the first chapter of his epistle to the Christian’s communities of Jerusalem.

Reading calls for practice, which in turn, always leads to thanksgiving and testimonies of faith. Those who strive to read God's word will be directly called to put it into concrete practice, in order to experiment by themselves, the concretes evidences of God's love in their life’s. Even if some people say that it is not the reading of God's word that will solve their problems or even provide them food and allow them to pay their bills, it is important to notice that, this kind of pragmatic answers must be understood with caution. We will better explain ourselves through two main points: Firstly, although God has given everything to humankind, to the point of crowned Mens with glory and honour, and made of them rulers over the works of his hands, Mens are perpetual beggars of the mercy of a God who certainly will not work or do what Mens are supposed to do, but will not allow them to see the wonders of His love in their lives, unless He grants to them some graces that they can also ask to Him. Secondly, we must not compare ourselves to others, in a sense that we will clarify: God has plans of prosperity for all people or all those who trust in Him. The success or prosperity of others is also ours, if we are proud of what they experiment in their lives, because these evidences of God love in their lives, are also prayers or encouragements for those who are looking for a better living condition which correspond to a measure defined by God. We must then not compare our wealth or poverty with that of others people. Whether we have more or fewer financial resources than others matters little. The most important thing is to know that everything is a grace. And if every things is so, we must then take our own grace and blessings with joy and says prayers of thanksgiving to THE ONE who knows that our prayers of thanksgiving are ways for us to ask Him more, in a proportion that He Himself knows is better for us.

God's will, which is to enable humanity to achieve its goals of personal and collective development, will always continue its course of success characterized by obstacles implanted by wicked Mens. Indeed, the reign of evil is temporary, while that of good is eternal. The effects of human cruelty will not definitively prevent the revelation of truth, much less the completion of a development project. God has given everything to Mens. If we have demonstrated it through this meditation, it is important to say that, it is not simply a matter of stating or affirming it; we must above all believe it. And that is the raison d’être of tangible facts which allow us to always have more reasons to trust in The One who gave us everything, and who is always with us and among us despite every things, to give us more reasons to remain in peace and joy because HE IS THE GOD who will always act in favour of those who believe in Him, and place all areas of their lives in His hands.
