The action of grace

The word of God

As Jesus was in his way to Jerusalem, he came to the borders of Samaria and Galilee. He was entering a village when ten lepers saw him; standing at a distance, they shouted to him: « Jesus, Master, have mercy on us! » seeing this, he said to them: « Go and show yourself to the priests. » and while they went, they were healed. Seeing himself healed, one of them returned praising God aloud. He fell on his face to the ground of Jesus feet and thanked him. He was a Samaritan. Then Jesus asked: « were not the ten healed? Where are the nine others? » was there only this stranger to comeback and give glory to God? Jesus said to him: "get up and go your way, your faith has saved you."

Luke 17, 11-19. The People's Bible

God's mercy

God's mercy will never end. Those who approach God with a firm resolve to change will always be comforted. If sin alienates man from God, God's mercy reintegrates man into God's love. He who is sick must ask the Lord to have mercy on him. It's not just about not feeling the pain anymore. It is above all a question of living with the hope of recovering in spite of everything. Whoever suffers because of the wickedness of others, must ask forgiveness for his own sins while asking the Lord that this prayer he made, also takes into account the misery of his executioners. God's mercy is divine grace that must be shared so that the "good" and the "wicked" experience the blessings of God in their lives.

Beyond our borders

God love everyone. This is the reason He sent His only son to save all those who will believe in Him. It is true that He first came for the Jews, the people chosen by God. But this true love could not been limited to one people. All the people with the Lord Jesus, are chosen people. God wants the good of all the world. Having food at home and not sharing it with those in need is a lack of humanity. We can not have enormous means to develop a whole country and we confine everything only in one village all as we cannot have money to help the whole world and we limit ourselves only in one country. The language of faith is a language open to the world. This is why Jesus not stop at one place. He was moving to put an end to witchcraft and his fruits which are tribalism, racism, sectarianism and others. This is also what he expects from us. We must propagate his light to the end of the earth.
